About Us

Plans for Pets was created to answer the question: What happens to your pet if something happens to you? While you may have already asked someone to care for your pet if something happens to you, how will that person know what that means? Will that person care for your pet the way you do? Does that person know your pet as well as you do? What if the unthinkable happens and the person can’t care for your pet and your pet ends up in a shelter?

We wanted to provide a free service to help pet owners insure that their pet is well cared for their entire life. If the worst case scenario happens, hopefully, a pet with a care plan may be easier to place – your pet comes with an instruction manual! All of the quirks, habit (good and bad), health issues are known so the chance of an adoption not working out is lessened. Once you sign up, you’ll be taken to questionnaires for each type of pet. Answer the questions, keep updating the information as situations change, then provide your account QR Code to your pet caregiver so they can access your pet’s profile. It’s that simple. Your pet (and their caregiver) will thank you. If you have more questions, check out our FAQs.
